B&A proudly assisted a county in Colorado with a recent application that was awarded $371,818 through the Great Outdoors Colorado Community Impact Grant. 

The California Department of Housing and Community Development recently awarded a B&A client in southern California $2,443,408 in funding for an Accessory Dwelling Unit Program. Funding will enhance permanent local housing by providing fee waivers and grants to qualifying homeowners to build ADUs, in addition to other program benefits.

The Federal Transportation Authority recently awarded B&A’s transit agency client $8,447,217 for a successful application developed for the Low or No Emission Grant Program and the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program. 

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation recently awarded $8,515,328 to a valued B&A client in Oklahoma as part of the WaterSMART Drought Response Program: Drought Resiliency.

The California Air Resources Board recently awarded $4,468,494 to one of B&A’s transit agency clients for a successful application developed for the Sustainable Transportation Equity Project (STEP) competition.

The State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving funds (SRF) recently awarded $35 million to two B&A clients. One client will use the funding to build a wastewater treatment outfall and diffuser facility, while another client will install groundwater treatment systems, rehabilitate water supply wells, and implement other improvements to remove per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from groundwater supplies (PFAS are a group of chemicals that may cause negative health impacts).

B&A assisted four municipal clients in Orange County, San Bernardino County, and the Central Valley to win more than $1.6 million in funding from the Caltrans Highway Safety Improvement Program. Awarded projects ranged from signalized intersection safety improvements to pedestrian crossing enhancements to roadway segment spot improvements.

Four B&A clients in San Bernardino and Orange County were recommended for more than $13 million in funding for projects that improved bicycling and walking for residents. Project elements included upgraded sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, signage, and traffic calming measures near schools, businesses, and residences.

Representing a 60 percent win rate for B&A and $24.6 million in funding for our clients, eight B&A grant applications submitted to the Caltrans Clean California Local Grant Program were awarded. Caltrans received 329 applications requesting $758 million in grant funds. Only 105 projects, or 30 percent, were funded by the state for a total of $295 million.
