B&A helps make projects and programs come true through grant and loan funding. Our staff live in communities across the nation, just like yours, and understand that everything cannot be accomplished with General Revenue funds, special district funds, or other mechanisms. Our associates are actively involved in their communities and use that knowledge to be better grant researchers, writers, and managers. We know that grant funding represents a unique, alternative source that can kick-start something special or bring it to completion. Hands down, we know how to secure that funding and manage it well.
B&A is a full-service grant management firm and the majority of our clients are local municipal governments, special districts, and council of governments. B&A has a proven track record of writing successful grant applications, winning approximately 75 percent of all proposals prepared on behalf of clients. Since inception, B&A has developed over 1,000 applications representing nearly $1 billion in requested funding. Generally our success translates into funding returned to our clients’ general fund ranging between $10 and $75 for every $1 spent on our services. This success is because we ensure that proposed programs and projects are squarely aligned with what a grant solicitation is seeking. We only write competitive proposals.

Learn about the client
Each B&A client is assigned a unique lead associate to ensure consistency and to allow for a deeper knowledge about the client’s needs and overall personality. This approach allows the lead associate to become more and more efficient when responding to solicitations, and ensures that you and your staff are minimally impacted by our firm. We look for the long-term relationship rather than a shot-gun grant writing approach employed by some of our competitors. Your success is our success.

Detailed research and tracking makes a difference
Our research team closely monitors all federal, state, and regional websites for grant announcements and solicitations. Our research team maintains relationships with grant agencies and will contact key staff when questions arise about a program. Ultimately, regular review and tracking of grant announcements is the only sure approach to capturing all grant announcements as soon as they are released.

Tell your story
Our job is to obtain your information, align it with the grant solicitation, research additional information if necessary, and tell your story. All proposals undergo a significant internal quality assurance process.

Never miss a deadline
This differentiates us from many of our competitors. If the application is not submitted on time, it does not matter how well written it is. This is especially true when working with on-line submissions such as grants.gov where technical difficulties are common. To counter this, B&A establishes a schedule which includes a timeline to submit said proposals in advance of the actual deadline to protect the client from technical issues.

As a client, you will not have a new writer with every project – we maintain a single point of contact. Every grant application developed for you will follow the same proposal process – every time. We believe that keeping our existing clients 100 percent satisfied is more important than adding new clients. New clients are only added when we have the internal capacity to service them to our standards. We believe this philosophy is demonstrated by the fact that our first client is still with the firm.
