Pollinator Conservation Grant Shows the Power of Specialized Funding

Did you know there’s a grant specifically for conserving monarch butterflies?

The Monarch Butterfly and Pollinators Conservation Fund, offered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, supports habitat restoration projects for monarchs and other native pollinators, like the rusty patched bumble bee and Karner blue butterfly.

This year’s grants range from $200,000–$300,000 and fund large-scale projects that restore native plant habitat, particularly in states along the monarch migration route.

While the deadline for this grant is quickly approaching (July 8), it’s a great example of the kinds of specialized and sometimes surprising funding opportunities available to cities, counties, and other public entities.

At B&A, we keep an eye out for niche and targeted grants like this, tailored to the unique needs and goals of municipal organizations.

You bring the vision. We find the funding.
