7 Local Roadway Safety Planning Grants Approved December 3, 2019

Seven (7) B&A clients will each receive $72,000 to develop Local Roadway Safety Plans. This is a new initiative by Caltrans to ready California cities for the very popular and competitive Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP). In the future, all California cities wishing to apply for HSIP funding will need to document that the proposed project activities are the outcome of a local roadway safety planning process.  This is a one-time funding opportunity offered by Caltrans and is first-come, first-served. B&A aggressively worked with clients to be the "first in the door" requesting funding and, to date, secured funding for Anaheim, Windsor, Farmersville, Chino Hills, Fullerton, Indio, and Delano, for a total of $504,000.
